Help out Canalside: Fill out this quick survey

Help out Canalside: Fill out this quick survey
Project for Public Spaces is looking for community input regarding events and amenities currently being offered at the Inner Harbor. They're also looking for input on topics such as transportation, your favorite features, and additional comments that can help to steer them in the right directions... public input has gotten us this far, and now it's time to take it to the next level. The survey is short and painless... and invaluable to the people who are responsible for making future decisions regarding land use, concerts, boating, kid-friendly events and games, pets, shopping, security, signage, parking etc. Click here to fill out the survey.

As long as we're on the topic of Canalside, the ECHDC would like everyone to know that the Pride of Baltimore II will be returning  this Friday, September 2 (arriving at 11am). The last visit (bottom photo) was better than expected, drawing visitors from all over the region. This is the type of activity that really showcases the waterfront as it should be on a regular basis. We are fortunate to have the Spirit of Buffalo call this city home - the more schooners and tall ships that make it to the Buffalo harbor the better (regardless of whether they visit or stay).

I agree, that question puzzled me since I fit into the same category. I also thought the survey would have tried to collect a little more negative feedback. That being said, it's still a good survey. For example, when they know what type of people are frequenting Canalside and the waterfront the most (age, location, gender, family type, etc.) they can better identify the developments, events and attractions that will continue to generate investment from that core audience. The 80/20 principle applies to everything, including this.

Well we all know what I am going to suggest.

Already suggested they open up the cobblestone street as a place for food trucks, let's hope they get the clue!

Maybe a possible solution would be to turn canalside into a giant food truck themed emporium, maybe even store trucks. Maybe put some solar panels on the trucks so its green friendly.

Rotate the trucks often and it would evolve everyday, It always new and fresh. I think we should sue or pass some legislation mandating this.
