UB South's Outdoor Summer Movie Series

Want to watch a movie, but don't want to spend your night cooped up inside during the summer months?

UB South has just the thing for you.

The University's Outdoor Summer Movie Series runs on Wednesdays at South Campus Hayes Hall lawn. All movies begin at dusk, and the university recommends you arrive at 9pm in July and 8:30pm in August.

If it rains, the movie will be moved to Allen Hall on South Campus.

UB's summer series offers a wide array of choices for all kinds of moviegoers: Rio for the kiddos, Bridesmaids for the chicks, and Thor for the guys. Here's the schedule:

Wednesday - South Campus

6/29/11: Paul
7/6/11: Battle: Los Angeles
7/13/11: Rio
7/20/11: Limitless
7/27/11: Tron Legacy
8/3/11: Arthur
8/10/11: Bridesmaids
8/17/11: Thor
8/24/11: Pirates of the Caribbean 2

Free, as long as you're not a student of the University at Buffalo.

I used to work at SA when I was an undergrad -- all of these events that SA puts on are paid for by the mandatory student activity fee. So, everything from homecoming events, to student-run clubs, to the yearly trip that SA staffers take every year on the student's dime is paid for by students, whether they like it or not.

And, everyone at UB who works for SA receives a stipend for their "work" as well.
