Queen City Gallery Celebrates 4th Anniversary tonight!
By Amanda McLaughlin:

Queen City Gallery is pleased to announce that it will celebrate its 4th anniversary this Friday, March 11th, with a celebration at the gallery from 6-9PM.  Founded in March 2007 by freelance photographer Mike Mulley, Queen City Gallery seeks to celebrate Buffalo's beautiful and prestigious architecture.  In addition to many shows featuring architectural photographs, the gallery has exhibited a wide range of art since its opening such Punk Rock Photos, Elvis photographs, and robot photographs, and has featured work by renowned artists such as Peter Fowler, Mary Begley, and Tim Raymond.  Mulley's accomplishments extend beyond the walls of the gallery; his publishing company, Queen City Press, has published several titles on Buffalo, including "The First Ward," "Bygone Buffalo: Photographs from the Past," "New Orleans The Road to Memphis and Back," whose photographs chronicle Mulley's adventure down Route 61, as well as a book on Allentown.

The anniversary exhibit will feature four photography collections: "New Orleans to Memphis," "Jazz and Blues in Black and White," "The Razing of St. Barbara's," which was shot last week, and "Welcome to New York: an RNC Scrapbook," which was shot in 2004.  Located in the historic Market Arcade Building, Queen City Gallery is a tremendous asset to Buffalo's vibrant arts scene: a center that preserves and glorifies Buffalo's past and present, and which symbiotically relies on a dedicated city's appreciation and patronage.  Says Mulley:  "Nearly 80% of my sales come from Buffalo-themed photos and books--the people of Buffalo make this gallery possible."  The intimate gallery is truly a Buffalo gem: fantastic exhibitions and an artistic dedication to the city.

Queen City Gallery is located in the Market Arcade Building at 617 Main Street in Buffalo. The gallery is open from 11AM-4PM Monday through Friday, and more information on exhibits, this Friday's celebration, and on ordering prints or books can be found by calling 716.856.2839, or on the website, queencitygallery.tripod.com.

Queen City is great. Michael, thank you for Queen City, and also College Street Gallery -- which is always a reliably great stop on Allentown First Fridays!
