"The first Trimania was big. The second was huge. The third will be a monster," said organizers of the event back in 2008. With the lineup for this year, number four promises to exceed all expectations. The party will take place on Saturday, March 26 from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. inside the Tri-Main Center, located at 2495 Main Street.
The event will have everything you could ask for in the way of art, from musical performances, to dance, spoken word, film, and more. "Bands will be spread out on five different stages, performance art located in two venues, a movie room featuring a film by Knuckle City Films, more than 60 artists studios will be open, exhibits in three locations and more than 3,000 people in attendance," said Jeff Langridge, Buffalo Arts Studio development officer. "It's a huge party celebrating the arts."
There will also be food and a cash bar at the event and plenty of art for sale. "It's a wild, creative event with dancing in the halls and unexpected encounters," said Elizabeth Leader of Leader Artworks, whose studio is located right in the Buffalo Arts Studio. Visitors will have the chance to purchase art in the individual artists' studios or in the Buffalo Arts Studio gift shop.
"Trimania is Buffalo Arts Studio's largest fundraiser and is an essential earned revenue stream that provides support for key staff positions," Langridge said. According to Langridge, this year's event is going to be even more epic than in years past. There will be more stages set up and more artists and performers showcasing their work.
