Sabres Host 6th Annual Aces and Blades Event

Sabres Host 6th Annual Aces and Blades Event
Choosing between heading to the casino or getting your dose of sports action won't be a problem this weekend.

On Friday, February 11, the Buffalo Sabres will be hosting their 6th Annual Aces and Blades casino night.  The event is being presented by Verizon and will take place on  from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at HSBC Arena.

Attendees can participate in casino games where current and former Buffalo Sabres players will be dealing the cards.  Not only will they have the chance to meet the players, but they could potentially win some great prizes to take home.  Even if you can't win at the blackjack table, there will also be live and silent auctions of rare sports memorabilia taking place that evening.  Food and drinks will also be provided to all.

All attendees must be age 21 or older. Tickets are $125 each or $110 for each person in a group of five or more.  The proceeds will be put towards the Buffalo Sabres Foundation, which works to assist organizations in the Western New York and Southern Ontario region.  They specifically focus on support for youth hockey initiatives, children's health, and serving the underprivileged and handicapped.

To purchase tickets, click here or call 716-855-4588. For more information, visit the Buffalo Sabres website or the Facebook event page.

I don't understand. You have to find 5 people to go with and spilt $110 between 5 ways? Is this money for chips an stuff (not the kind you eat LOL).

The price of a ticket for an individual is $125. If you come in a group of 5 or more, each person in that group has to pay $110 (instead of $125) It's not $110 for the whole group.

Wow! $110.00 per person! This sounds like the type of affair that affluent people would attend. Buffalo needs more events like this, i.e. events that cater to those of an elevated socioeconomic status. Speaking of which, I'm off to check on the status of my Bohemian Grove application.

Everyone in Buffalo has heard of Aces and Blades....
If you want to drop 125 bucks to go you can.....I wouldn't

125 dollars is not for the affluent.....

not to burst your bubble but it is not much more then parking/gameticket/consessions for a game. (avg weekend game ticket $80, consession $25, parking $20)

An event like this in NYC would be $1000 a person. They have to raise some significant amount of money.
