New Tenant at Electric Tower

New Tenant at Electric Tower

Electric Tower is now home to the law office of Lindy Korn.  The firm is occupying the entire ninth floor which is located in the tower section of the building.  It will take 2700 sq.ft. of space in a move from the Liberty Building.

"Moving into the Electric Tower is an exciting and significant step for our firm," Lindy Korn, Esq., owner, said.  "We chose it because it is a match in terms of our space needs and in addition, being in a highly visible, iconic building will help us grow our practice."

Iskalo Development is also happy to welcome the firm to the building.  "We are pleased that Lindy Korn and her firm have selected the historic Electric Tower, and we think they will be a great fit for the building," Paul B. Iskalo, President and CEO of Iskalo Development said.  "We are also pleased that the firm chose to remain downtown and continue to be part of the re-emerging Central Business District."

The Law Office of Lindy Korn focuses on the primary practice areas of plaintiff oriented civil rights with an emphasis on the prevention and correction of sexual harassment and 2-2-2 retaliation in the workplace, and risk management focusing on safe complaint procedures, early reporting, and investigations. Iskalo Development still has space available in Electric Tower.

Mixed use.

How much of this building is vacant? Last I checked there was a significant portion not leased. Would've been a great address for some residential.

Geat news , thats almost as much space as my house. Musical chairs was always a fun game.

The tower (in theory) would make fantastic residential space with the round footprint. It's my understanding that there were some sort of residential code problems that couldn't be overcome.

What, is this an advertisement for Lindy Korn? A new tenant taking a minuscule 2,700 square feet of commercial space downtown is hardly news, especially when the tenant is moving from another downtown space! It's not even a story about a lawfirm investing in downtown!

Maybe we should set the bar a little higher as to what makes Buffalo Rising news?

Like I've told others before, Buffalo Rising's job is to report on optimistic news concerning every move towards progress Buffalo makes as a community. It sounds like a Buffalo business has outgrown their office and needs a larger space. Buying apples (outside businesses) is fine, but growing your own is great. It's organic growth.

No, actually half full. Buffalo Rising does post "optimistic" news. But when a store, restaurant or any business opens that they fan faired at opening and then closes , they don't post THAT bit of news. Any out of towner reading this blog would think Buffalo is a growing thriving retail hotspot. As Sally says, musical chairs is fun. For children maybe. They moved, big deal, just more empty space in another building instead of this one.

Once again, it's not musical chairs when a company grows out of its space. Its upgrading. You don't move from an apartment to a house and call it musical chairs.

Sir, why should a blog with the name BUFFALO RISING report on anything to do with pessimism? even reporting a store closed after it opened? Its like Oprah telling her audience that the lady who lost 100 pounds gained it all back again and is now miserable. People don't go to Oprah for bad news, people don't come to Buffalo Rising for bad news. The public go to both in hope things are getting better, thus inspiring them to do better. If youre so obsessed with hearing about the negative things about Buffalo, read on regional politics in the Buffalo News. Or you can put that same energy into constructive comments...

It would be a crying shame if out of town, or local readers of this blog got the impression that good things are happening in this town.
So why don't you start a site dedicated to covering businesses that close, sobbing about the economy, and other "half-empty" stories? Let people see Buffalo from a "realist's" perspective.

This law firm's website may be the worst website of any Buffalo-based business. And that's no small accomplishment.

I love the rehab they did in the Electric Tower's lobby. A beautiful reminder of days gone by.

oh boy.

Other story ideas:
Is an egg really a baby chicken? Or is it really a nothing?
Where can I find the timing belt? Was I really supposed to change that?
Crayons: how do they work? Why?
What is the best color of cat and what's the one called that looks like a pizza?
Can I get pregnant if I eat a papaya right after?

I like going to this website, as it takes up several minutes of my boring workday. Let's just try and juice up the content a bit, huh? This is not good.

I'm taking the egg / baby chicken story. Stay tuned, as it's going to be amazing.

Also, you just missed having a great comment as if you had went with "Blankets: how do they work" instead of crayons, you would have had a great meme reference: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lq65hlbxdmk. But you blew it. Try harder next time.

No, i meant the SNL takedown of the posse because the SNL version went with "blankets, how do they work" instead of the original "magnets, how do they work." Crayons are closer to blankets than magnets, scientifically speaking.

Now, you would have received credit if you went with either magnets or blankets but you just missed by going with crayons. And for that you get: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ytCEuuW2_A
