The Soiree is hosted by Sean Coughlin, Tom Cowan and Jim Lorentz, three young entrepreneurial Buffalonians with visions and standards that stretch beyond what is considered to be typical for a Buffalo event. "We wanted to create an exclusive, high-end event for Buffalo that has the look and feel of a big city gathering. Buffalo's transformation is becoming evident in many areas and we wanted to be the pioneers for raising the bar in the event category," said Coughlin. "The event is first class in every aspect. With the help of our title sponsor, Mercedes-Benz of Buffalo, we were able to secure an exclusive and highly sought-after DJ from Toronto, as well as professionally decorate the Bayou into a lavish yet tasteful Holiday-themed environment."
There is a strict dress code for the event, described as "fashionable nightlife attire," which will be enforced at the door. "We want to provide an opportunity for people to dress up and feel proud to be a part of such an exclusive event in Buffalo," said Tom Cowan. "It was refreshing to see so many guys in suits and women in dresses last year at the first Soiree." Jim Lorentz agreed saying, "The Soiree is a party with a purpose. Last year we were encouraged patrons to make a monetary donation and/or bring an unwrapped gift for Carly's Club. The response was overwhelming. Our goal is to create an annual event that benefits a worthy and relevant charity while providing an unprecedented atmosphere for our guests. We had an amazing crowd last year featuring many Buffalo business owners, restaurateurs, young professionals, and even some of our friends from the Buffalo Sabres. We're hoping for the same outreach Wednesday night."
The event is guest list only. To secure your spot at the Christmas Soiree, please email rsvp@soireenewyork.com requesting your name and the number of guests you plan on bringing. (Eg: Mike Smith +4)

Looks like a bunch of Clarence kids coming down to the city to show off their handbags and expensive button downs. But it is for charity, so there's that.
.......jealouse much
I am normally not negative about any event, especially those that are for charity. However, having to request to be on the guest list is pretty lame. I'm going to send in a request with a less than white sounding name and see if it gets put on the guest list.
Burch - No I am not "jealouse [sic]"
Are you really against people from the suburbs returning to Buffalo....
Attracting all the money and people that left Buffalo back into it should always be the goal of anyone trying to restore Buffalo back to its glory days.
People from the burbs and Buffalo are in this together. I don't want to put words in your mouth but I hope you realize this.
