Second Chance Sheltering Network's Pet of the Week: Sadie

Second Chance Sheltering Network’s Pet of the Week: Sadie
Second Chance Sheltering Network, Inc. is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit animal rescue group serving the Western New York area.  Their goal is to help place homeless animals while simultaneously helping interested individuals find a new furry companion.  Every Sunday, we will be running a homeless pet spotlight to help these animals find families.

Here's a little about Sadie, our "Pet of the Week":

Ms. Sadie gave her Christmas wish list to Santa and it had only one item on it: a new "furrever" home with a family who would love and cherish her.

This two year-old, long hair gray tabby female with bright eyes and lots of love to give came to Second Chance with her three kittens.  She was a wonderful mother and now it is time for her to be part of a family when they open their Christmas gifts.  She is laid back, while still having that kitten quality and innocence that she was never able to portray taking care of her own kittens.  Being a young, single mother on her own on the streets of Buffalo was not easy, but she was one of the lucky ones who made it to Second Chance.

Ms. Sadie is negative for feline leukemia/FIV, has been spayed, had rabies/distemper vaccinations, was de-wormed, and has had flea control applied.  If you would like to put in an application for Ms. Sadie, call Second Chance at 716-652-6051.

More adoptable animals can be seen on the Second Chance website at www.secondchanceshelteringnetwork.com.

Sadie looks like a beautiful animal. My mother once adopted a kitten that was found living under a dryer in a laundrymat on the Lower West Side. That kitten grew up to be such a beautiful cat, and one of the best pets we ever had in our family. Good work, Second Chance, and thank you!
