On October 9, 464 Gallery will be reviving a fall celebration that first began five years ago at Off the Wall on Elmwood Avenue with it's very own "Rocktoberfest."
"This event was borne out of a love for live music, Hilary's German heritage and of course beer," said Marcus L. Wise of 464 Gallery. Partnering with the event's original creators, locals Hilary Salmon and Keith Harrington, Wise will be bringing several DJs and visual artists to the gallery to celebrate the autumn season in a unique way.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. and will run until 12 a.m. Complimentary food and beverages will be served, with bratwurst being donated by Spar's European Sausages. The event is free to attend and parking will be free as well.
The performance line-up will open with MoneyGrip Int'l featuring VJ Deliria. The group is comprised of Active8, Dave Goldstein and Eric Fiebes, and, according to Wise, "has been delivering some of the most refined, funky and tech-infused House sets in Buffalo for the past decade." VJ Deliria will compliment them with visuals that will coincide in real-time to the beats, while also incorporating live camera feeds.
From 8 to 9 p.m., artist Shawn Egressy, also known as N3WT, will be performing electronic music, using drum machines, synthesizers, and effects units. He will simultaneously be showcasing his original psychedelic productions.
From 9 to 10 p.m., Mark Kloud will be spinning alongside VJ Deliria. Kloud's performance will feature downtempo, dub step, drum and bass, and ambient music, with VJ Deliria providing the visuals as well. She will be blending Kloud's design work with a variety of motion effects.
From 10 to 11 p.m., Jeff Repeater will take over. The all-electronic work of Geoffrey Peters, also known as Shapes of States, will incorporate electro and dance beat genres with chiptune, glitch and crush styles.
Closing out the evening will be a performance by one of the event's founders, Keith Harrington, also known as AVDJ Projex. He will be showcasing his mash-up of indie and electro genres with a number of visuals. He will also be projecting his video creations onto the side of one of the buildings on Amherst Street.

As a culture we really need a moratorium on the word "Rocktoberfest".
