Marshawn Lynch, one of Buffalo's 3 running backs, has been traded to the Seattle Seahawks for a fourth round pick in the 2011 NFL draft and a conditional pick in the 2012 draft, according to reports from Fox's Jay Glazer. Lynch, known for his 'beast mode' style running and 'beast mode' style driving on and near Chippewa, will leave Buffalo and create more opportunities for Fred Jackson and CJ Spiller.
Seattle had reportedly been trying to get Lynch for months but the Bills were reluctant to make a deal. Why? The same reason Trent Edwards was named the starter and then cut after 2 weeks - the front office has no idea what it's doing.
Marshawn - we'll always remember your driving skills more than your running game. Video of Marshawn driving after the jump. . .
So, let's see... JP Loseman-1st rd pick=Out of Football
Marshawn Lynch 1st rd pick=Out of Buffalo
Trent Edwards 3rd rd pick=Out of Buffalo and prob NFL soon
Bills passed on in draft... Revis, Orakpo, all Pro Bowl QB's and O linemen. Hey Ralph, think it's time your antique style of management is put to rest? Ask any pro sports insider and they'll tell you the Bills organization is far and away the worst franchise and organization in professional sports. It's quite sad...on top of that, Raplh put no succession plan in place, thus the team will definitely move when he dies. That's a massive slap in our faces, yet all the idiots continue to support by selling out the games...not this sunday!!!
Your claim of "the Bills organization is far and away the worst franchise and organization in professional sports" is crazy wrong. You don't watch sports very much if you think the bills are anywhere near entering that conversation.
I also don't think you have any understanding of Ralph's role in the organization if you think he's behind the scenes making poor choices. If anything, you can rail on Ralph for being largely absent from decision making (I don't think that - having ralph is 100x better than having a owner who thinks he knows everything and meddles regularly, e.g. al davis or dan snyder).
Ralph is cheap, and is unable to lure any true talent to Buffalo...ie Cowher, Shanahan, Parcells. He wont pay any player or coach market value and is always absent in free agency. Polian was the only true gem he ever had and when it cam time to pay the piper, Ralph foldede and we've been awful for 16 straight years now...time to stop with the retreads.
Do the math...the Bills cannot be purchased at their current value $850mil and service the debt with the current stadium and Luxury box setup. Major markets have 100-200+ lux boxes and many anciallry revenue generators...other than Sherrif DWI's there is no ancillary revenue
You might be on to something...we should give all the DWI money and other fines assoicated with Bills fans on game day back to the Bills. I'm not serious but the more I think about it, the more I like it. As for the trade. In heinsight, it is aweful that we dished out a 1st rounder for a third but looking ahead this was a good thing for the Bills, Seahawks, and Lynch. I wish him the best. Next step...FIRE TOM MODRAK! He has had his job for 10 yrs and has been aweful. He is clueless.
This is great news! Marshawn proved that he was not a winning running back during the game this past Sunday. He seemed out of step and failed at running and blocking throughout the game. We are better off saving the cash against the salary cap and amassing first and second round picks for 2011. This is what a rebuilding year is all about.
There are some great draft prospects for QB, DL, and OL projected for the first rounds of the 2011 draft, and we know that there are a few seasoned O-Linemen and wide receivers opening for free agency in 2011.
Later Marshawn, Chipewa will be a safer place without you.
Ship off Maybin next...what a joke...we passed over career Pro Bowler LB Brian Orakpo for this clown..
Let's see how many more 1st rd picks we can blow!!!
I liked Lynch, he ran hard and played hard. Ownership, management and coaching let him down. You have to hand it to any NFL player that has to live and play here, it is not a major league city, its that simple, it's a prison sentence to be drafted or traded to the Bills. Good place to live if your a workin stiff (like me) but not so much if you are a millionaire pro football player for the Bills. This franchise is a mess, might be the worst in it's lowly history. 50 years in business and we get a few years in the 60's, one year in the 80's and a nice run in the early 90's and thats it. Ralph got Polian out of sheer dumb luck and Kelly came here because he had no where else to go. I'm not sure how Ralph got his money considering his management of this team. Honestly he has never come across has a very bright or articulate guy. I think his ivestment in Pro Football for 25K was just dumb luck too.
Amen to that! Except it should have been the sentence that the rest of us would get... a year or something... whatever it is, it's BOGUS that this guy gets to run over _ _ _ girls and get away with it!
After 50 years, it's pretty apparent where the problem lies. The best thing that ever happened to Ralph Wilson was Bill Polian, who finally left after losing an argument with Jeff Litman, the team accountant.
Erie County gives the Bills over $15 million a year in cash and law enforcement. And Ralph won't even sell the naming rights to our stadium, naming it after himself. Think about that while you are complaining about Chris Collins cutting support to our culturals.
My question: Isn't it about time Erie County residents sue him for negligence and mismanagement of our tax money?
Yes, he is the worst pro sports owner, period! Ask any insider where they Don't want to end up coaching or playing...it's Buffalo, not because of the weather, economy or anything else, simply due to Ralph Wilson. THE WORST!!!
Worst team, worst management, worst owner, best fans. Except for the Polian years its been a miserable miserly bunch, going all the way back to Lou Saban. Saban, O.J. and the 'electric company' gave us some good years but they never had much help. Polian put it all together for four super bowls. It was crazy, no matter what the excuse, to lose a guy like that. Remember when the Colts were dubbed the 'Dolts'? Now that term belongs to the bills.
Best fans??? You are kidding yourself. Go to any Bills game and listen to our fair weather loser fans. They question everything the Bills front office does and every play the coaches call. You call them fans? Buffalo doesn't really deserve the Bills anymore. They need to go to a city that can appreciate and afford a major league franchise. Buffalo just isn't that place anymore.

Damn, dude. Way to go off the deep end.
