"Apocalypse" hits 464 Gallery

On Saturday, September 25, 464 Gallery will be changing its pace a little with a new style of exhibition.

The "Apocalypse Apparel Fashion Show" will bring the work of artists Jeremy Maxwell and Sean Madden to the gallery for an evening of artistic couture.  The event will run from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Free parking will also be available.

Jeremy Maxwell is an artist and graphic designer whose company, Goods & Srvcs, works with local businesses to provide them with illustrations and graphic designs. Maxwell has been working in print design for ten years and has done everything from t-shirt designs to promotional goods.  His clothing line is titled Misfit Clothing and his designs are very edgy with an urban influence.

Sean Madden is a surrealist painter who has been working for the past year with the Die Constant Clothing company out of Vancouver B.C.  His shirt designs consist of translations of his artwork onto the clothing.  His clothing has sold as far as Italy and Australia and is available at Buffalo's Elmwood Strip and at 464 Gallery.

In addition to the clothing exhibition, the show will feature a video and audio display by AVDJ PROJEX and live sets from MoneyGrip International.  Throughout the show, shirts and pants will be raffled off to ticket-holders in the audience.  Clothing will also be available for purchase at affordable prices.

This will be the first time 464 Gallery has hosted a fashion show.  According to owner Marcus Wise, it will be a great opportunity for exposure for the gallery, the artists, and the DJs involved.  "It's a great group of people coming together working on this project," Wise said.  "It's unique in that it's local clothing. The designs are kind of edgy, kind of innovative, and very Buffalo."
