An Event for Old Timers and Whippersnappers

It's time for the summer's second Elmwood Village Cruise night. This time the location is Elmwood Avenue between Lancaster Avenue and Cleveland Avenue, which means that Spot Coffee and The Lexington Co-op will be two prime viewing spots. The last cruise night, back in June, proceeded under cloudy and windy conditions with sporadic drizzling of rain. Despite the forecast many people, including the two old timers pictured above, came out to see the numerous cars that turned out for the event.

As much as the hot rods lined up along the west side of the street were a draw (see whippersnapper and Director of the Elmwood Village Association Justin Azzarella standing with a few below), there was a nice blend of oldies to view as well. I've become a fan of this event because it brings an entirely different group of people to the street. Thanks to all of the car owners who have taken the time to bring their prized possessions - if you've got a classic car that you want to show off, just bring it on over and the organizers will find a safe spot for it.
