Catch Will.I.Am's After Show Set @Noir

Catch Will.I.Am’s After Show Set @Noir
You don't need BR to tell you that The Black Eyed Peas are coming to town this week. The Peas are one of the few musical groups today that possess both tons of street cred and mass appeal. I think even card carrying AARP members could identify at least a single band member, and perhaps even hum along to one of their tunes.

Wednesday, after the big show at HSBC, you can be sure that Buffalonians will tweet, text message or update their Facebook status with notes about where the band's various members can be (or have been) spotted throughout the city. It happens every time someone "big" lands in town. Last week it was Green Day, this week it is sure to be one or more members of The Peas.

Save yourself some trouble and head over to Noir Ultra Lounge, a Chippewa hot spot that has secured and verified the appearance of Will.I.Am, who will DJ a full-set for clubbers. There is a limited capacity at Noir, so grab your tickets now by visiting Factory Nightlife's website. The promoter tells us that a few tickets will be available at the door, but why take your chances? 21 and over, proper dress required. Should be a pretty hot night on the Chip Strip.

Tons of Street Cred? Maybe before they got Fergi I would entertain the thought, but clearly they are a joke. Anyways I had to laugh, because after I read this nugget I happened to see this in the top 2 of Digg.

that street cred thing caught my eye too, what exactly does that mean anyhow? people in the ghetto? I would eliminate that incredibly lame phrase from my vocabulary c.g.s. also, not too sure about these guys as such a massive crossover band. dmz is correct.

*sigh*
This is what happens when a non-music writer tries to write about a band outside of her own scope of preferred music styles.
My apologies, we'll see if we can avoid it in the future.

I'll go back to my food corner now where I am thinking about tacos and listening to a personal fav, Tool's 10,000 Days.
