Liquid Energy

Liquid Energy
If you frequent Cathedral Park, then you know that there is a wide variety of food options to choose from during the work week at lunch time. You have Globe Market for the healthier food options Grillers for the dogs, burgers, etc. Soon, downtowners will have another option in the form of a fairly sophisticated juice bar called Liquid Energy. Located in the same building as Globe Market, Liquid Energy is going to be a sit down and take-out juice bar, cafe and health food breakfast and lunch spot where customers will be able to find everything from shots of wheatgrass and power shakes to an espresso and a veggie wrap.

Not only is the concept a fairly new one for this district of Main Street, the setup is just as unusual. There will be a take-out window on Main Street for passersby who are looking for healthy food options on the go. There will also be a stand inside the building, along with a place where customers can relax and enjoy the various concoctions. For those of you who aren't feeling the need for healthy eats, you can still stop in and fuel up on coffee and espresso. As much as the name alludes to the juices and elixirs, Liquid Energy will also serve baked goods, soups, salads, rice bowls, wraps, etc. These options will also be perfect to take over to Cathedral Park and eat/drink.

This cannot happen fast enough for me! This is an idea that I would put together myself, if I were so positioned. I work across the street from there, and it has taken me two years to develop the a tolerance for the wafting smells of tubular meat that eminates from carts on every single corner! I spent a year importing salads from the North Country (Chris's NY Deli), and paying dearly for high quality food and delivery charges! Please, Buffalo, let's support healthy eating downtown!

Very neat, but WHEN will it open? "Soon" can be interpreted many ways.

Sounds like another great addition to healthy living in Buffalo....about time! In the mean time, another shake cart is already open. I discovered it on my way to work. WHAT'S SHAKIN is a open in the Innovation Center of the Buffalo Medical Campus. The owner is a personal trainer and is very dedicated to making healthy shakes. Great variety and prices. The cart also has a coffee bar.

I went to Liquid Energy today and it was absolutely packed. So packed that I waited in line to order for 15 minutes and then another 10 to pick up my drink. Only the 2nd day but more staffing is needed ASAP! My smoothie was awesome though. Slightly expensive was what I heard from those waiting around me but drink was worth the price for sure.

We need a full sevice veggie restaurant with veggie and vegan foods.Something inovative not just chinese or asian, but foods with more thinking involved, with better choices.Buckwheat noodles anyone,or brown rice dishes...come on create a good menu.We will be stopping by this week to check this place out, some of the dishes sound great. But if another pizza joint opens on Elmwood i'm gonna scream!!!!!

Merge seems to have filled that gap for a number of people, although they serve free-range organic chicken and sustainable fish they are careful to not cross contaminate. A new veggie friendly restaurant will be opening on Main St. soon. I think since serious Buffalo vegetarians (not just the pizza and salad kind) are unaccustomed to dining out with great frequency, that it is a tough thing, right now, for a restaurant to choose to be 100% vegetarian. I hope that will change.
