The Grant Street greenhouse (Gardens on Grant) is scheduled to be on the Garden Walk for the first time ever! Not only will it be the first ever semi-commercial greenhouse on the walk, it will be Grant Street's first foray into the word of the mighty Garden Walk. For those who have been looking for the prefect excuse to visit the West Side and all of the Grant Street goodness, the weekend of the Garden Walk is your best bet.

Come see the seedling beds that have been planted for Grassroots Gardens. See the impressive rain barrel system that has been installed, and all of the new windows. Don't forget to stop by Sweet_ness 7 for a cup of coffee... then visit the Grant Street Gallery artist cooperative... and right around the corner is 257 Lafayette Center, a brand new green dwelling project.

From Grant Wood to Grant Street! I was by the greenhouse this week, and it looks great. Hope to get a peek inside during Walk.
