Be There: Italian Chefs Come to Artisan

Be There: Italian Chefs Come to Artisan
Artisan Kitchens & Baths, a turn-of-the-century warehouse located just past Grant Street on Amherst, is one of the best kept secrets in Buffalo. This former stove factory is now a one-stop shop for people who wish to transform their homes by installing contemporary and luxurious bathrooms and kitchens. Upstairs, the beamed-ceiling loft boasts three top-notch fully-functional demonstration kitchens loaded with the best appliances money can buy. Artisan is home to Nickel City Chef and Nickel City Cake Challenge, but in recent months has attracted a number of other food-oriented ventures, including Lexington Co-op's summer canning workshops, and this Monday's exciting visit from two talented Tuscan chefs, hosted by AAA.

Master Tuscan Chef Carlo Innocenti and Chef Romeo Innocenti, owners of Cassa Innocenti and La Locanda del Prete, have been invited by AAA to help introduce a series of Horizon Club Tours' group travel cooking and wine vacations to Chef Carlo's picturesque, medieval home and country inn in Arcidosso, Italy.

pix2.jpgFortunately, AAA and Artisan have extended an invitation to Buffalo Rising readers who wish attend this tasty and fun reception and cooking demonstration. This fabulous event requires attendees to RSVP, so please do so immediately, before it's too late!

A $10 donation is suggested--all proceeds go to the local Audubon society.

I love that the italian community and italian merchants are reaching out to italy to bring artisanal foods and cuisines here to Buffalo.

I love it and it fits perfectly with Buffalo which has inspired many many foods that have made it to national recognition. Chicken Wings, Hamburgers, Sunday's anyone.

But again, Buffalo is more than just the italian community.

Here is an invitation to the Irish, German and Polish which are also pretty sizable to reach out to their native countries and bring their artisanal culture here. I love German food (hint hint) especially with game meats.

We should be celebrating our western, central and eastern european christian culture.
