Oh moe. You've been so faithful to us. Playing Thursday in the Square year after year after year, throwing us that nifty festival in Turin, NY year after year after year. You still play here even after your success has allowed you to open for The Allman Brothers and The Who at Woodstock '99. Even after playing Radio City Music Hall for New Year's not one, but two years in a row!
Don't you ever get tired of us?
Well, obviously not, because you're dropping in tonight to start off the Buffalo Rocks the Harbor series. You can catch them Saturday night, too. That's right, you've moved on from Thursday at The Square, but we can still say hello again for a measly ten dollars.
Opener Keller Williams is just as impressive as you, moe. Having performed at four Bonaroo festivals, having put out 15 albums since 1994, Williams works just as hard as you guys.
Doors open at five at the Central Wharf of the Erie Canal Harbor. Don't miss the reunion. And, you know, the new guy.

Not exactly $10! I was really looking forward to this show, but when I went to buy tickets directly from Buffalo Place yesterday (as opposed to Ticketmaster), they informed me they changed the pricing to $20 the week before! The woman assured me they sent out lots of communications about this, but I was doubtful as I seem to get weekly emails with lots of words but info-lite. When I went through my email trash, sure enough, embedded in lots of text was the change in pricing. Whereas it used to be $10 before the show & $20 the day of, it's now $10 up until a week before and $20 afterwards.
It's too bad because I have family coming to visit and was really excited to show them a fun activity in Buffalo. But expecting to pay $40 rather than $80 is a big diffrence, so we might still go, but it's not a definite anymore.
I can understand the need to raise a few extra dollars, but there might have been a better way to structure the pricing and definitely a better way to help with the communications effort. If there's a college student majoring in communications, there's an internship opportunity there as they need some help!
I wasn't even planning on going and I heard about the price increase from a few different sources.
I hate to say it but Facebook is a good way to stay up to date on stuff.
