COME SAIL AWAY

Summer weather is here, which means it's time to take the plunge and get into the best bathing suit to suit your fancy along with footwear that shows off the gams you've been hiding all year! With some fabulous local finds, you'll look your best this summer when you hit the pool, boat or beach.
The biggest trend in swimwear this season is being completely body-conscious. Try hot colors like a universally flattering crimson or even gold. Going nautical is also a fabulous way to go. Try navy, white and red together or separate to get the most ship-shape look of the season!
When looking locally for your swim ensembles and accessories, check out Bella Tootsie for the cutest shoes around with an added bonus: a pedicure! Tucked nicely into the back of the store is a pedicure station where you can enhance your footwear's wow-power with killer cute toes. What could go better with a pair of open-toed pumps?
When out in the sun, don't forget the SPF and extra sun protection along with a chic wide-brimmed hat and another summer must-have: a pair of fabulous sunglasses to protect your eyes from the harsh sun. And of course, when looking at eyewear, you might as well have the coolest pair on the beach, right?
Check out creations by local designer Yadira Maldonado, who fashions dazzling and fabulous eye wear options by handcrafting and enhancing vintage sunglasses with vintage jewelry and charms. These eye-catching shades can be seen at Eye Level Designs on Facebook and sold for $20.00.
For guys, looking retro is the way to go this season by throwing over sized trunks overboard and going for a 50's surf-inspired look. Navy is flattering on all skin tones and Hawaiian floral prints are quirky cool. Remember, shorter is in, but going too tight is not. Staying comfortable is key!
A perfect way to enjoy the beautiful weather is taking a soothing sail with the Spirit Of Buffalo. Captain Rick guides you on a journey with his crew, Kate and Rich, past historic landmarks, and the soaring windmills. This sail is a wonderful experience to meditate, and be one with nature, and view the city. I highly recommend a trip with family & friends or that special someone.
