A Sweet Sensation

A Sweet Sensation
Sometimes you feel like a nut. Sometimes you don't. Then there are the times that you feel like eating a custom, handcrafted piece of chocolate that is perfectly prepared to appeal to your signature palette. Those are the times that you're thankful to have a chocolatier like Ingeri Eaton, owner of Eaton CHOCOLATE, around. Upon visiting the new sweet shop, a bit earlier today, I happened upon a customer who had come in to taste test a custom order that he had placed days earlier. Ingeri was cutting into a piece of the concoction for the gentleman to try while everyone else in the shop stood by awaiting the good word. "It's perfect," he said. And with that he was out the door and on his way to enjoy a weekend custom tailored to his taste buds' liking.

I found myself staring at another tray of chocolate for a couple of minutes before snapping out of it in order to congratulate Ingeri on the aforementioned transaction. "That makes 50 pounds of custom orders since we've been open," she exclaimed. "The neighborhood has been in and out frequently and they are all very enthusiastic to have us on the street." With that, I grabbed what looked to be a menu and browsed over a bunch of the selections. Clumps, plumps (filled chocolates), breakables (bark), minis, suckers (including bubblegum and peanut butter and jelly), s'mores on a stick, butter flavored chocolate popcorn, turtle pretzel rods... it was all there. You can stop in and grab what they have on-hand, or you can rack your brain to come up with the perfect blend of ingredients to hand off to Ingeri. Either way you're golden when it comes to visiting Eaton CHOCOLATES. Let's see... wasabi mixed with chocolate then sprinkled with freshly shaved coconut... mmmmm!

I received a lovely assortment as a gift and was really won over (as I'm not a big chocolate eater), but that may change. I was looking up the address so I could go buy some more and get some to send out for a gift when I saw the article. I really love the buttons and toffee almond breakables. Good Luck!
