With all of the
hype regarding the nesting falcons at UB's South Campus (
see falcon cam), bird-lovers should know that there is a chocolate cluster being made in downtown Buffalo that provides needed funds to injured birds at
Hawk Creek Wildlife Center (animal sanctuary). Our friends at Choco Logo are selling a good amount of Peregrine Poop at their downtown outlet, along with five other tasty selections intended on supporting a number of different birds (and an Ocelot) as they hopefully recover from a variety of different 'accidents'. It was disturbing to learn that one of the leading causes of bird injuries at the sanctuary is due to people with shotguns. Maybe city-living for the birds is actually safer at times.
In a time when we are seeing positive signs of return for these great birds that have seen their habitats compromised at the hands of pollution and sprawl, it's nice to know that purchasing a locally made snack goes a long way towards creating awareness for their plight. The next time you're hankering for "crunchy chunks of bourbon-infused pecans, tossed in brown sugar coating, clustered with white chocolate"... you know where to go in Downtown Buffalo.

Up... looks like Newell paid another delicious visit to Choco-Logo. It is yummy, and Dan would say something like that: "It might look like poop, but if you close your eyes it's really delicious!"
Haha, stop in today! You won't be disappointed that you missed your mid-day workout for the best chocolate in Buffalo.
