While the Powder Keg Festival and Labatt Blue Pond Hockey Tournament have all the City of Buffalo steeped in snow and ice and everything winter on the weekend of February 27th...consider thawing out with the eternal Latin hottie, Rita Moreno, at Kleinhans Music Hall.

This Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award winning actress and singer (West Side Story, The King and I, Singing in the Rain) will be at Kleinhans on February 27th, at 8PM. Born in Puerto Rico and raised in New York since the age of 5, Moreno was a talent scout discovery at an early age, and she went on to make more than 30 films.
Moreno is one of the last of her breed, and she's a delight to see in person. As funny as she is talented, Moreno once told the story of a new puppy she was training. Late one night, as the puppy was preparing to piddle on the carpet, Moreno grabbed a pie plate and wooden spoon and made a ruckus that the puppy's trainer had said would deter bad behavior. Her American-born husband came downstairs to see Moreno, in nightgown, making one hell of a racket. His response was, "Man, you Puerto Ricans really know how to throw a party."
Count on it. Get her while she's hot (as if that will ever change).
