Comfort Zone Computer Lab Opens

Comfort Zone Computer Lab Opens
Last night saw the grand opening of Comfort Zone Cafe's addition, along with the new computer repair and website development services of a Quad-B Systems in this satellite store at 1002 Elmwood Avenue.

We first reported the proposed expansion last October, and though the seating area has been opened for a few weeks, Quad-B is now ready to see clients for PC repair and website design every weekday, from 10AM to 4PM.

Cindy Barrett, owner of Comfort Zone has partnered with her husband, Chuck Barrett of Quad-B to offer the neighborhood more space to stretch out and enjoy the food, drink and wifi in, along with the convenience of computer care for all makes other than Mac and Apple.

"It took us a bit to get the offices built, but now we have onsite repair," Cindy says.  "Our tech room is ready to take drop-offs, and the future hours will depend on demand."  Know that the conference room in the new space is available for rental also with some nice package deals.

One thing that's always struck me as odd about Comfort Zone is the way it's "decorated" inside. Coffee shops are supposed to be warm and comfortable - it's even called Comfort Zone! And it looks cold and uninspired, as if the people who opened it watched a 1980s "how to" video on VHS about opening a business and followed it step by step.

In all seriousness, I was very excited about a new coffee shop opening in this neighborhood, but when I went in for the first time, I was totally surprised. The original side has cheap looking tables and chairs and cheap indoor/outdoor carpeting - like an oudated doctor's office waiting room.

It looks like the new expansion is a bit warmer, judging by these pictures.

That's because Apple Macintosh's don't need nearly as much service as PCs!!!!

Not for people who know what they're doing on a PC. My gf's Mac gives her more headaches than my PC's ever did.

But we'll leave the Apple Fanboy debate for another message board.

I need to find a VAX.

you might have to be authorized by apple to be allowed to repair macs. i don't think any such authorization is needed for other makes.

This looks so incredibly lame and a very obvious after thought. A glass partitioned box with cheap drop ceilings in the middle of a coffee shop? It looks like they took a little slice of their strip mall on Niagara Falls Blvd. and dropped it into the middle of a mid 90's style coffee shop. Bad look.

The dropped ceiling was a mistake... I don't understand the fascination with 'needing' to have one.

I think everyone here is missing the point, this is a new business to the area, this is positive!
Even if you don't agree with someone's decorating, these companies are expanding and trying to add to our city. Maybe we can focus on that instead...?
