Buffalo event planner Therese Forton is bringing the festivities surrounding the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics directly to you via her blog titled "Through my eyes and in my shoes" on her Events 2 a Tee site.
In addition to Ryan Miller and the USA hockey team, Therese will blog about the events, parties, and sights of the city - including the food and entertainment. She will also highlight the different Olympic venues, the cultural experiences, and celebrity and athlete sightings. Therese will post photos from Vancouver, and on her return, she will report to a kindergarten class at Elmwood Franklin School in Buffalo, giving firsthand accounts of her experience to the students.
By way of background, Therese is one of the area's pre-eminent event-planners, with her name attached to some of the most successful, fabulous, and star-filled bashes that have received praise from her clients and attendees - including Ryan Miller, Jim Kelly, Chris Berman and many others.
As founder of "Carvings for a Cause," Therese spearheaded a unique art and environmental collaboration to benefit the replanting of trees lost in a devastating ice storm that hit Buffalo in 2006. In addition, Therese is the author of two children's books, and is also maintains greenlivingtoatee.com where she will blog on the "green" aspects of the Vancouver experience.
