The Holiday Tranquility Tour

The Holiday Tranquility Tour

Graycliff's annual Yuletide Tours will return this year, thanks to amazing public demand.  Weather permitting, docents will lead tours of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Graycliff Estate each day from Saturday, December 26th, through Tuesday, December 29th.

Locals and visitors will enjoy Graycliff's festive holiday décor amidst the magnificent architecture designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Hot mulled cider is served at the conclusion of tours, and Graycliff's Pavilion gift shop has lots of choices to fix any lapses by Santa or Hanukkah Harry.

Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for students. Visitors should wear clothing suitable for the weather.  High-heeled shoes and boots are not permitted on Graycliff tours.

About Graycliff: Graycliff is an architectural jewel on a scenic 8.4-acre estate on a bluff overlooking Lake Erie, with sweeping views of Canada beyond. The complex, with three buildings and extensive grounds, was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for Isabelle and Darwin Martin as a summer estate. Built between 1926 and 1929, it was occupied by the family until the mid-1940s. It is now owned by the Graycliff Conservancy, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving and providing public access to the estate.

A 20-minute drive south of downtown Buffalo, Graycliff is a New York State Landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places. There is ample free parking at the estate, 6472 Old Lake Shore Road in the town of Derby. Reservations are required; call 716.947.9217. More information is available at http://graycliff.bfn.org.
