"Tis the season...for growing mustaches. Grow a mustache between January 1st and January 31st to benefit The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western New York.
Last year, Buffalo Mustaches for Kids netted $858 for Make-A-Wish (and let's not forget Whiskerino for Compass House), and this year they plan to make the event bigger and better!
And it will be fun! You' and all of yur prickly pals will meet Meet for weekly shave and "weigh-in" nights--Wednesdays, 7PM at Voelker's Bowling Center--and the final "Stache Bash" will be held on Saturday, January 30th.
The Buffalo organizers have a Facebook page, and they say: "If you don't sprout, you can still help out!"
The site goes on to say: "Charities are suffering terribly in the current economy and can use all the help they can get. Inject some humor into what is undoubtedly an otherwise grim winter month and participate in this ridiculous endeavor."
Do it "fur" the fun of it, and help Make-A-Wish too!
