Nest Interiors: Live in Style

Nest Interiors: Live in Style

By Kelly Lovering

Brooke Pelc, a progressive interior design entrepreneur, has opened her first residential design and retail based business, Nest Interiors, at 68 Allen Street in Buffalo.

Nest is elegant, thoughtful, and full of fresh artistic appeal, and the small retail showroom houses just a glimpse of the design services Pelc offers.

"We will do as little or as much as clients want. Really it's about helping them find their own personal style, unique to them. Most importantly, we work within their desired budget," Pelc says.  "This is about providing a good service."

Services include everything from space planning, material selections and accessorizing, to project coordination and management. The invaluable professional relationships Pelc has established with various contractors and architects allows Nest Interiors to meet the specific needs of clients and execute projects to perfection.

The store, reflective of Pelc's own personal style, is budding with optimism. But soon, she intends to take her business ventures to the online market. This would allow clientele to purchase furniture and accessories direct from her website. All of the exquisite pieces that make Nest Interiors so warm and inviting are available for purchase in-house, and clients can also custom order any other elements found in Nest's showroom books.

Doubling as a gallery, featuring artwork from local artist Sandra Bartz, Pelc makes every effort to keep Nest visually exciting.  In terms of current trends in interior design concepts, she attends trade shows, and she credits much of her design influence to her travels abroad - to places like Paris and Rome. Her artistic ability to turn a house into a home is obvious when walking into Nest Interiors.

"I loved opening this store. It has been a project in itself. Everyone has been so welcoming, and every day I am thinking of new ventures. There are a lot of different projects that we're working on, on a variety of scales. I am excited to come to work every day and see the progress," Pelc enthuses.

Expect great things from Pelc and Nest Interiors. Most recently, the episode of Extreme Makeover Home Edition, filmed at a home on Massachusetts Avenue in Buffalo, featured Pelc's work, as she was asked to come in and set the furniture for the Powell family. Interested clients can see samples of Pelc's work at the Home and Garden Show, and the Evans bank on Elmwood.

In addition, Pelc continues to work on commercial space through the Buffalo Design Collaborative (BDC), a consortium of independently owned design firms established in 1990.

Take advantage of the limited time Nest Interiors grand opening special featuring an interior design consultation for only $65 for the first hour and half off the second hour.
