In case you missed it, Titans owner Bud Adams was caught flipping the bird towards the Bills sideline during the fourth quarter of yesterday's Bills-Titans game. The video is after the jump. Adams is the longest standing owner in the NFL, taking control of the Titans franchise months before Ralph Wilson acquired the Buffalo Bills. Adams is largely despised in Houston after running a listless organization then moving the team away to Tennessee. The title of the book about his franchise's move says it all - Loser Takes All: Bud Adams, Bad Football & Big Business.
Adams has already apologized for the incident. He said he got "caught up in the excitement of a great day." Really? Your team just beat the hapless Bills and moved to 3-6 - the same record of the team you just flipped off. That makes you so excited you performed like a 10 second choreographed machine gun middle finger dance? Really? It seems more likely that Bud's breakdown was attributable to a bout of drunkenness, senility or somehow related to his hairpiece.
