The Tall Infant Jim Norton Is Coming to Buffalo

The Tall Infant Jim Norton Is Coming to Buffalo
Several years ago, 103.3 The Edge moved Shredd and Ragan to afternoons to allow for Opie and Anthony's nationally syndicated morning show.  They're not on in Buffalo anymore, but during their broadcasts, I really started to enjoy Jim Norton.  As their third mic, he brought a clever edge to the show.  Norton's material is considered "dirty," but it's also honest.  He doesn't go for "shock" value or a "disgust factor," he's just not afraid to explore dark subject matter.  I still wouldn't recommend bringing your girlfriend's mom to the show.

Norton's career has spanned 15 years, and he has been a featured performer on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, the Late Show with David Letterman, acted in films like Spiderman, Zack and Miri Make A Porno, and as an actor on television shows such as Lucky Louie.

Norton will be performing at the Town Ballroom on Friday, October 23rd.  Due to demand, they've added a second show at 10:30 PM.  They're $23 presale at $27 day of show at tickets.com outlets.  Late show tickets go on sale today at 3 PM.

This guy friggin sucks...saw him at the Comedy Cellar in NYC. As usually occurs at that venue, there were 5 or 6 comedians on the bill that night, and everyone does maybe 15-20 minutes or so of material.

He was by far the worst. He doesn"t tell jokes. He just tells stupid stories that aren't really funny and he obviously heard from someone else. It was really obvious how bad he was when he was followed up by another 5 legitimate comics. Painful

Spending $23 dollars to see this guy is the comedy equivalent of spending $70 to watch the Buffalo Bills.

"He doesn"t tell jokes. He just tells stupid stories"

Name one nationally televised/known comedian that actually tells "jokes." No comedians are like that. Jokes are told to coworkers and friends at parties, standup comedians exclusively tell stories.

Wow.. Sounds like you have a personal vendetta against him.

I disagree with you. He's extremely funny and honest in his acts and is consistently funny every day on the Opie and Anthony show. He doesn't take himself seriously and, unlike what you said, original.

The fact that he's has had two books on the NY Times best sellers list, had an HBO stand up special, his own HBO show where he showcased other comedians, is on the new Leno show where he is a featured comedian every other week, and has a following that created such a demand for tickets that they added another show here; shows many that your clear hatred for him is not shared by most people.

There's plenty of people hated by most people who have a niche fanbase that sell books and sell otu venues.

you need to sell like 10k books in a week to be on the best sellers list..not exactly a massive upswell in popular support

in related news, jay leno also friggin sucks, so having him as a point of reference really reinforces my point as far as I'm concerned

He is generally hit or miss. He's not someone I would spend any money on, but not someone I would dismiss as a nobody. I've seen plenty of his stand up, and it's ok. I actually disagree with the article. It sometimes seems like he's going for the shock factor most of the time. Basically O+A were trying to out shock Howard Stern, so of course they had to embellish, and he was the perfect guy for that. My major beef with him is his character in Lucky Louie (a series I loved). His character sucked. Now I'm not talking about hating the "Character", becasue that would imply good acting, he was just really, really bad.
