F&S Design Studio specializes in exterior design of high-end residential and commercial facades and scapes. In their two years of business, they've worked with several Buffalo entities, including Nardin Academy, the Neuman Center, the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site, and more.
Recently, F&S collaborated with Urban Nature in California to participate in Re-Burbia, an international design contest sponsored by Dwell Magazine and Inhabitat.com. The contest asked participants to envision a "new" suburbia, a more sustainable, walkable, community-oriented place. F&S and Urban Nature's design took second place out of 400 international entries. That's pretty impressive. Their design will be featured in the December issue of Dwell Magazine.
"We had a lot of faith in our designs," said Jennifer Fedeson, F&S creator, "but we knew we had done great work. We want to give Urban Nature a lot of credit. Troy [from Urban Nature] is the real visionary on the project. We're really proud of what F&S contributed."

The right eye can take an already appealing area and make it stellar. Can you think of some Buffalo spots that would look great with this kind of touch?
"There's so much potential for improvement in Buffalo," Jennifer said.

Congratulations to F&S for their award and national recognition, and here's to beautifying our city in the future!

I am familiar with F&S and the great work that they do. This international design competition is proof that the talent in Buffalo stacks up across the globe. Their submission is an amazing and appealing concept for so many suburban areas around Buffalo which could be brought back to life with walkable shops and services. This is great!!
