Mayoral Poll Update

Buffalo Rising 6

Unlike our own BRO mayoral poll that shows over 600 votes for Mickey Kearns, with just over 100 for Byron Brown, WGRZ's Channel 2 poll shows Brown pulling a lead over Kearns.

In last week's WGRZ poll, Brown held 48 percent to Kearns' 47 percent, with 5 percent undecided. Today, the Channel 2 poll has Brown with a lead going into tomorrow's primary election. See the breakdown here, that has Brown at 51 percent to Kearns' 44 percent.

The poll is based on telephone calls made to 634 likely voters. The data is interesting in that it takes gender, income and race into account. As always, the final outcome can shift between those polled and those who actually get out and vote, and we encourage you to do so.

One of Kearns' models is former Buffalo Mayor, Jim Griffin. You recall the mayor who advised people to stay home and drink in the midst of a crisis. He's also the same mayor who would not attend the National Conference of U.S. Mayors annual meeting because he thought it was a waste of time. Jim griffin also physically assaulted others as a means of problem-solving. A new mayor who emulates the antics of an uncouth individual just as Buffalo is Rising? I don't think so. My vote is with Brown. I don't know much about "South Buff-lo "Mickey" and I don't want to. It seems nobody does.

BFLORome....my if I didnt know better I would sware that you are describing the incompetent, corrupt and recently jailed embarassments that Detroit has elected into the mayoral office.

Brown-drunk driving kid steals car
Brown-uses politics to free friend from police
Brown-tries to take over westside community groups to center in City Hall dominated african american community groups
Brown who tried to rig the common council by blocking the election and the president of the common council
Brown-who tried to force the hand of the common council so his friend Pitts could get the waterfront hotel
Brown-who gave prime eastside Buffalo Forge property to an eastside african american tax free church where the pastor resides in a million dollar waterfront townhome.

And you complain about Griffin....Id say that your either a prejudiced bigot against Irish south buffalo or your a moron. Im sorry, in your left wing liberal mind..is it possible to be prejudiced and bigoted against people that are caucasian and christian?

mickey kearns isnt jimmy griffin. he is an independent thinker. if you are undecided .. vote learns... that gives you 2 more months to do your research, and wait to see if the Feds drag the Mayor off to jail .. for those who said that were registered Dems but arent voting - please, vote .. there are so many people who arent able to vote today and desperately want to vote for Kearns. May the Buffalo Rising poll ring true when the polls close.. if not, heaven help us all .....
