Daniel Ulbricht: A Dance Spectacular and More

Principal New York City Ballet dancer Daniel Ulbricht brings five of his top-notch dancer friends to UB Center for the Arts for a performance Sunday afternoon, September 20th, at 3PM. 

Daniel Ulbricht and Friends Present "A Dance Spectacular", which will open with a piece from Balanchine's Tarantella, and will continue to include Diamonds from Jewels, and a piece from Apollo.   The program will conclude with an excerpt from George Balanchine's, Who Cares?

Daniel has chosen to feature the local dance company, Configurations Dance Theatre in his program.  Configurations Artistic Director Joseph Cipolla is a native Buffalonian and Mr. Ulbricht has chosen to feature three pieces by the local dance company in his program.

Daniel Ulbricht and Friends Present "A Dance Spectacular" will be an exciting exhibition of world class professional dance right here in Western New York. 

Daniel himself will be holding Master Dance Classes at several local studios during the week before this exciting program. 

Most notable, Daniel will be spending a full day residency at two Buffalo Public Schools.  Daniel will be holding Master Classes exclusively for students at the Buffalo Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts.  He has also been added to to the Distinguished Speakers Series sponsored by the City Honors Foundation and the International Baccalaureate Program.  He will be speaking at both the City Honors Middle and High Schools.

Daniel, who obviously loves to dance, is committed to giving back to the WNY area for all the support and enthusiasm they have shown to him.  Daniel has been dancing for over 10 years in the American Academy of Ballet's local production of the Nutcracker (in Buffalo) since a young teenager and has been received by Buffalonians warmly and graciously.

During the week before his performance on September 20th, Ulbricht has been visiting several non-profit organizations.  He is making donations of tickets to organizations such as Big Brother's and Big Sister's, Ronald McDonald House, and Women and Children's Hospital to name a few.  He will work with in-patients at Women and Children's Hospital, and clients at Child and Family Services among his various activities.
