Back in July, we learned that 'Body Worlds' would be shown at the Buffalo Museum of Science. The Gunther von Hagens exhibit has attracted 75,000 curious visitors in 43 days. That's the total attendance for BMoS in 2008! Well done!

The plucky captured-in-motion bodies underwent a process von Hagens developed and coined "plastination," which he later offered to perform on Pope John Paul II after his demise, though it was turned down. Madman or brilliant scientist, von Hagens has certainly given the world its most in-depth look at anatomy.
(And while attendance may be up, the science museum just isn't selling beef jerky the way it used to.)
