You also left out the largest event of the weekend - Garden Walk Buffalo. Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We're expecting between 40,000 and 50,000 people from around the country to tour gardens in the largest garden tour in the country–340 creative urban gardens all over the West Side of Buffalo.

And it's all free. There's even free hop-on hop-off shuttle buses. Stop by any of the three headquarters to pick up maps and start touring–it's self guided–start where and when you want, end where and when you want.

The Garden Walk is mentioned, although some bad formatting left it attached to the paragraph with the Queen City Jazz Festival. Readers skipping over that won't see the GW entry.

The Garden Walk is so important is should have rated its own entry on the meager Sunday listings as well.

Agreed, Dagner, not only for it's National Notoriety, but for the effort of all the gardeners who feature their places during this event.

It's not just a weekend event if you consider the work each gardener puts into the effort and the hard work and accomplishments of the GW Board and volunteers.

Three cheers for all! I tip a glass of nectar.

Thanks Marilyn–good opportunity to thank the 20-some committee members that work year 'round on the Walk; the more than 340 gardeners working for a season, gracious enough to open their homes; and the 70-plus volunteers that staff the headquarters for the weekend. It takes a village.

BRO fixed the formatting. Still didn't list one of the COUNTRY'S LARGEST GARDEN TOURS on Sunday, but thank you.

Not that it is a big event, but Buffalo's second PriceRite is opening up this weekend in the former Vix on the Buffalo side of Kenmore Avenue. I am surprised that we haven't seen an article on it, there were like 6 for the PriceRite in the Stuyvesant Plaza.

That's because the Price-Rite at Stuyvesant is an urban location that was in dire need of a full-service grocery store, especially considering the majority of the people in the area depend on public transportation.

MRodgers, I understand the situation regarding the Price-Rite location at Stuyvesant Plaza and the surrounding neighborhood as well. I also think that it is great that they located there. I was just commenting that I was surprised that not a lot of attention has been given to the location on Kenmore. The neighborhood surrounding the new Price-Rite is also low-income (the large low income housing off of Hinman). Granted, these individuals are also fairly close to the Tops location on Elmwood only a few blocks away. I was just curious to see what, if any, design changes they made to the site.
