New Era is making yet another positive impact on Buffalo, aside from opening their headquarters here. The New Era Cap Classic returns for its second year, and has already built on success enjoyed in their inaugural Classic.
This year, the Classic features 140 teams comprised of elite players from the United States and Canada. Teams will be coming from Oklahoma, California, Ontario, Massachusetts, and more.
The 2008 tournament attracted 3,500 attendees, this year, there are a confirmed 3,750 players coaches and family members attending. The Buffalo Niagara Convention Center & Visitors Bureau has confirmed that 5,200 hotel rooms have been booked, stirring up an estimated $1.4 million in revenue, a slight increase from last year's $1.2 million.
Games will be played all across Western New York, from Lockport, to Canisius College's ball diamond, starting tonight, from July 16th to the 19th, and continuing from July 30th to August 2nd.
