I just wish the Delaware Ave. side was more open to pedestrians. I walked by the other day, and felt that the suburban landscaping (complete with evergreen bushes) says "keep out" more than "come on in".
Fantastic, we got one right!
Now lets see something like this on the waterfront. Please!
I love it. Great job. Great commercial tenants. should help build a bit more momentum along delaware. seems as if converting the statler to a hotel (and other mixed use) is a no brainer for a developer and hotel co. if the embassy finds this to be a great location...the statler might be a better location, proximate to city hall and such. great job.
It just out of context. Build it to the curb, mixed-use. This reminds of something you'd see on Sheraton Ave. I just hope James the ice cream ***** stay away with his corn syrup posion.

I'm just going to sit back and wait for somebody to say something pessimistic about this building....it's stunning....
Oh don' worry...there are plenty of wanna be architects and designers on here preparing their "expert" analysis of the finished product. I personally think it's too nice, too classy, too glass, too expensive, and too tall for Buffalo. Please see my renderings at "iliveinbuffaloandthinkiknoweverythingabouteverything.com"
You and galaxyjay are just being snarky. The Avant has been covered many times on BRO and the overwhelming sentiment of comments has always been very positive. This mixed-use project was executed well and it should set a standard of what developers can achieve when quality and good design are the priorities. (If only Carl Paladino would get the hint.)
