Get Fit In Delaware Park

Get Fit In Delaware Park
I'd be willing to bet most of us could use a little bit (or a lot) of exercise.  It's not entirely our fault, we live in a delicious food city.  What are we supposed to do, not eat it?  Nice try.

But don't worry.  Certified Personal Trainers Daniel Scheff and Giovanni Prezusio in cooperation with the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy, are offering affordable exercise classes to improve participants strength, flexibility, and range of motion.  On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:30 PM in Delaware Park near the intersection of Parkside and the 198, and on Saturdays August 1 and 8 from 11:30 to 12:30 PM, you can get fit for only $17 a session for five or more sessions (package deal), and $20 for individual walk-ups.  To register, call 838-1249 ext. 11.

Just bring workout clothes, a water bottle, towel, and sunscreen, maybe even a heart monitor for safety's sake.  Showers, bathrooms, and lockers are available for rent.  Classes will run rain or shine, but can be moved inside Parkside Lodge if necessary.

Don't miss this chance to get in shape!

$17 for a group session with 5 session min at a public park? not sure how that qualifies as 'affordable'... "Uh, put down the donut, fatty, and give me one lap around!" I'd only charge $5 for that advice

This is a great idea but charging almost $20 for a group session has made it unaffordable for me and probably many others. Why are these classes mostly during work hours? Wouldn't it make more logical sense to schedule them after 5 or 6 PM. These personal trainers have the right idea but it is the timing and the rates that are problematic.
