Mum's and Daisy's Adds New Service

Mum’s and Daisy’s Adds New Service
Rene Harvey, owner of Mum's and Daisy's flower shop has just added two new features to her recently opened business.  At the request of a few customers, Rene will create an account for clients including all important dates and names for future flower deliveries.  There'll be no more forgotten birthdays or anniversaries, as Rene will automatically set up delivery for special people on special days.

"Of course, the requests came from males," Rene laughs.  But it's a great way to make sure you're on the ball for special occasions.  "Because it's only me, I have to make the deliveries before or after my regular hours, but that usually works out if I'm delivering to an office that opens at 8 or 9."

Besides her hours of Tuesday through Saturday from 10AM to 5:30PM, Rene says she'll stay late for pick-up if a client needs her too.  She's thinking of extending her summer hours to 6PM simply because the longer days bring more people around on their way home, and sister Prish Moran's adjacent Sweet_ness 7 Cafe keeps people in the neighborhood longer too.

In addition to pre-planned flower deliveries, Rene is also offering flower rental for parties and special occasions.  She explained that when Prish caters a party, she often brings flowers to the venue.  For the cost of $50 dollars, the flowers get to hang around the party instead of the shop for 3 or 4 hours, then they go right back to the coolers at night and stay fresh as a daisy for sale.

"It works out well," Rene says.  "I can make 2 or 3 arrangements and rent them for what it would cost to buy one.  If a client doesn't want to purchase an arrangement, they can get 3 for same price."

Rene's been busy since opening last February, and one visit to Mum's and Daisy's will make the reason for that apparent.

This flower shop is such a cheerful presence on Grant. I made a small unnecessary purchase just to support this store.

Imagine if other Grant St. property owners were as bold and creative?
