Peter, a Buffalo native, spent a couple of years in Vegas operating a pizza joint. That was before he hopped on a plane and headed to Rhode Island to help a friend open a fish and chip restaurant. Eventually he decided to come home. That's when he decided that he wanted to open something different (for Buffalo that is). Of course he was not going to be a pizza joint (considering there are so many already), so he went the direction of fish and chips... and sushi... and some chicken. The crux of the menu will be fish though.
The interior of the building is undergoing huge renovations - the ceiling has been removed to expose the second floor in order to give the space plenty of light. There will be a couple tables for sit down as well as an outdoor patio during the warmer months. Captain Jack's will offer lunchtime delivery and curbside pickup. Cappuccino, coffee and WiFi will also be offered - that will allow people the ability to get comfortable while waiting for their orders. I'm psyched to see a new space open on Elmwood. I'm also interested to see what sort of authentic fish and chip recipes will be offered. I bet that sushi-lovers will be happy to have yet another option in town - Peter is in the process of looking for a sushi chef, so if you know of any quality sushi chefs in town (or in other cities), 'drop him a line' at 716-881-FISH. And as for all you drivelswiggers out there, you will have a new place to go on International Talk Like A Pirate Day (September 19th). Arrrrrrrrr!

Fantastic. It would be amazing if he could also include a small retail fish market portion. Elmwood needs a meat and fish retailer so bad. The coop is excellent, its just missing the meat and fish! The former Elmwood bagel location would be ideal.
I completely agree, someplace that specifically sold some dry aged beef, wild game, and fresh fish would be AWESOME!
