Buffalo Blue Bicycle has been in full swing, lending bicycles free of charge to its members from May through October, since 2006. Over the last three years, the program's usage has multiplied sixteen times and its membership has seen a 240% increase. In 2008, Buffalo Blue Bicycle had a fleet of nearly 60 bicycles, utilized by 171 members, for a total of 964 trips. This year, with a fleet increase of nearly 20%, the program anticipates its greatest growth and usage to date.
Bicycles offer a low-cost transportation option that requires no fossil fuel consumption and emits no carbon into the atmosphere. The Buffalo Blue Bicycle program takes the environmental impact one step further, by offering recycled bicycles for use by the community free of charge! The program has been especially successful at the University at Buffalo, Buffalo State College, and The Buffalo/Niagara Medical Campus.
Buffalo Blue Bicycle is a program of GO-Buffalo, working towards healthy, environmentally sustainable, community friendly, transportation options in Buffalo. To learn more, or to become a member of Buffalo Blue Bicycle, visit www.buffalobluebicycle.org or call (716) 851-4052.

I have called repeatedly this month to donate bikes. The staff has not had the decency to respond and tell me if they were interested or not. Get it together guys
mattgo - we have no staff - its all volunteer run, that being said, I am sorry nobody has gotten back to you.
We are always accepting used or damaged bicycles. If you have an old bicycle that you would like to donate please feel free to drop it off to us at any of our regularly scheduled workshop dates. All donations are tax-deductible because we are affiliated with the Wellness institute, which is a non-profit organization.
