See for yourself during the single night, two screening premier of Dalai Lama Renaissance. Narrated by Harrison Ford, the documentary follows 40 scientists, theologians and scholars, as they brainstorm solutions at the Dalai Lama's residence in Northern India. 

If you have ever lived through the experience of a group project, you understand the dynamics at play. PhDs, social scientists and theologians are no different than the rest of us.  The progression of the five day think tank/summit is often surprising and funny, as egotism and procedural roadblocks interfere with noble intentions.  His Holiness takes it all in stride and handles it all with his characteristic good humor and grace.

As it happens Next Tuesday, March 10, marks the fiftieth anniversary of the Tibetan Nationalist Uprising and the Dalai Lama's life in exile.  33 percent of all film ticket sales benefit an organization of the Dalai Lama's choice. One quarter of the proceeds from this premier will benefit Artspace Buffalo Gallery.
