There Will be No Mourning at "The Wake"

There Will be No Mourning at “The Wake”

Every year the Irish Classical Theatre hosts the party of the year in true Irish style. One doesn't have to be of Irish heritage to attend, only the spirit is needed!  According to Carrie Beth Wicks, Director of Development at ICTC, "You get the quality entertainment we are known for and a chance to let your hair down! Anything goes, and it is sure to be a terrific night to meet people and mingle with the actors and other theatre lovers."

Presiding over the proceedings for the fifth consecutive year will be the hilarious Father Malarkey (Don Gervasi of the Eclectic Improv Company). Enjoy a raffle, live auction and music by Celtic Folk Band, Penny Whiskey and Stone Row.

This year we say good bye to the "dearly" departed Aidan Doogood, though he never spread joy here on earth, his wake surely will. Tickets include your libations; try the Irish Tears Oatmeal Stout made especially for ICTC by Flying Bisons Brewing Company.  There will also be plenty of food, fun and music by Celtic rock bands Penny Whiskey and Stone Row.  Local company Crowley-Webb and Associates http://www.crowleywebb.com/ developed the creative elements for the wake. See here @ partytodiefor.com

The Wake will be held on Friday, February 27th, at 7:00 PM at Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum, 453 Porter Ave., Buffalo.  In keeping with his business philosophies, the family has chosen to honor his memory by charging admission.  Prices are $35 for Family Members (ICTC Subscribers) and $40 General Admission. Parking is free!

Between now and the 27th keep your eyes open, you might have a chance of getting a coaster that will give you $5 off of your admission ticket to "The Wake". So next time you are at your favorite local pub, be on the look-out!
