Roswell Park's Paint Box Launches Valentine's Gift Sale

Roswell Park’s Paint Box Launches Valentine’s Gift Sale

Go ahead and hand out two valentines for the price of one this year by supporting the Paint Box at Roswell Park. The Project is holding its first-ever Valentine's Day Gift Sale and as always, every single cent from the proceeds is donated directly to research and care programs at Roswell Park.

The chocolate gifts are made at Choco-Logo in downtown Buffalo. Some may remember the Almond Pecan Nutcorn from past Valentine's Days, but other confectionaries have been added. The Black Cherry Bark has swirls of dark and milk chocolate mixed with dried sweet and sour cherries and toasted almonds to serve any nut lover's craving. Need something to spice it up a bit? The Hot Heart truffles are made of dark chocolate and raspberry flavoring, with a habanero kick. Prices range from $10-13.

If choosing one to gift is too difficult, you can easily give them all at once. The
Chocolate Tower, which is available exclusively online, includes the Almond Pecan Nutcorn, Black Cherry Bark, and Hot hearts in one pretty package (see below).

Other items on sale are a Hopeful Heart apron, a heart-adorned notepad, and patient-designed note cards with five different varieties from the kids at Roswell. Each gift is uniquely wrapped in original artwork by pediatric patient-artists.

"We're so grateful for the community's support during the holidays and now ask for continued help to fund needed cancer research and patient programs," Art Committee Chair Jennifer Prince Bronstein said.

Valentine's Day items are available online through February 14th. All items are also available at the
Roswell Park gift shop through February 13th, with the exception of the chocolate tower.

If a pre-Valentine's outing is more your style, The Perfect Pair is being held on February 13th. Chocolatier Dan Johnson will host the event at the Choco-Logo at 141 Broadway. He will discuss chocolate-making techniques while guests sample red and white wines and candies.
Tickets are $15/pair or $10/single and presentations will be given at 5:00PM, 5:45PM, 6:30PM and 7:15PM.  For tickets and more information, call 855-3500.
