Recycle Your Electronics and Textiles

Recycle Your Electronics and Textiles
Now that these recycling drop-off events are becoming a regular thing, I have been holding on to any and all outdated electronic devices in order to recycle them. I've also been encouraging my friends and family to do the same. Gone are the days that it's OK to throw a computer monitor away in the trash. It's too easy to make a trip to a recycling drop-off point. And the revolving location points means that no one should have an excuse to dump their old electronics in the trash.

To make the drop-off day even more effective, this next event includes a separate category for clean used clothing. That way you can kill two birds with one stone. Grab those old sweaters that take up all that space in your closet, throw that beat up and broken video game or VCR in the car and head on over to Buffalo State College to recycle/re-use instead of hoarding and disposing of the items.

Saturday, January 17th (corrected) from 7am to 1pm. Location designated on provided flyer.

Assuming you don't bring in 50 of them.. It isn't going to questioned. These events are great and certainly needed to provide a resources to residents to environmentally rid themselves of unneeded or broken machinery.

I also have been saving up stuff since the last time. It is becoming more and more convenient to get rid of these types of materials.

Also don't forget that THIS week is the week that the City is going to collect Christmas trees during your the normal trash pickup to be mulched and not thrown away. Now if only we could get them to take yard clippings and other compostable materials.

The date on the poster is correct, but the date in the article is incorrect: the recycling day is Saturday the 17th, not the 19th.
