Nelson Starr Launches First Episode

Nelson Starr Launches First Episode
As promised earlier this week, Nelson Starr has launched his first episode of All Access Pass with Nelson Starr.

Filmed by John Paget, Starr takes a jaunty tour through local restaurants Europa Bistro and Oliver's in this first installment.  It's a fun-filled and informative tour, done in Starr's own humorous way, including interviews with the main players in the businesses, as well as getting a good look at what the ambiance and food is all about.

Starr is easy in front of the camera, the soundtrack is great, and his sit-down with an Oliver's regular is a quintessential Buffalo experience.  I don't know how many people refer to the dishes at Oliver's as food-porn, but I get what Starr's saying.

Stay tuned to the end of the 10-minute video and enjoy some piano music by Starr himself, as he unseats his former teacher who was performing at Oliver's on the night Starr showed up to film.

He's funny, knows food, loves Buffalo and - for a rock star - he plays some mean jazz piano.   Don't forget, you can catch Starr at Nietzsches at 7PM this Sunday.

I look forward to the next installment of All Access Pass

This is great idea and has a TON of potential. I would've liked to see an original website design for his site rather than ripping off Hulu.com. Although I was happy with the look of the video, it could have been polished with a better audio mix and proper lighting. All in all, this is phenomenal for Buffalo and I'm excited for it's future. Can we watch these on BRO anytime soon?

Nelson has come a long way from hosting Open Mike at Broadway Joe's... he has always been an amazing talent. I am really glad to hear that he is still in the area and still performing. He has always had that special energy that can win over just about anyone, I am happy to see that he is using that to the benefit of everyone in Buffalo.

Good Luck Nelson!
