A young hip crowd welcomed them this past Thursday to the Pearl St Grill as they played two incredible sets. Area musicians that witnessed the performance were astounded at how the Silver Beats seemed to play their instruments exactly as the Beatles originally played them.
That was possibly the highest compliment one could bestow upon these talented visitors from Japan.
The Silver Beats departed Buffalo Saturday on their way back to New York City.

It's true, these guys are definitely Japan's answer to American tribute bands like "Beatlemania," "Get Back" or "AC-40." They possesed all the charm and wit of the real Beatles, that is, if the real Beatles didn't speak English. Unlike the Beatles tour of Japan in '66, I don' think that American resentment against the Silver Beats was all that strong. The Silver Beats were able to get out of their hotel room, they avoided death threats, and they saw Buffalo for the bustling metropolis that it is; even touring the Goo-Goo Dolls personal recording studio. I enjoyed this show and the talent showcased on stage. My Special Lady and I danced the night away. Let's just say, "I was happy just to dance with [her]." The Silver Beats gave me that chance. Thank You Japan for producuing these marvelous lads.
